Mum Shares Her Hack For Cutting Her Food Wastage To Zero Each WeekA savvy Australian mum has revealed a trick to cut down on food wastage and give herself a free extra meal each week.
Sharing details of her trick on Facebook, the woman explained how she has a 'Needs Using Up Basket' in her fridge.

This is a plastic basket which is reserved for various odds and ends of food she doesn't want to throw away.
'Half an onion, tomatoes, half a sweet potato, sausage, wrinkly capsicum, whatever!' she wrote alongside photos showing a full basket inside her fridge.

Those who saw the woman's post online and were impressed by her hack were quick to praise her idea as well as share their versions of the savings trick.

Everything that's in the basket is turned into a delicious frittata (pictured) which the family enjoy hot or as snacks over the course of the week

Another woman wrote that she 'loved the idea' as she had recently started meal prepping for her family.

A third said she was 'stealing this idea for the warmer months'.
'In winter I make an end of the week soup to use everything up but didn't know what to do with them in the warmer weather,' she posted.
