The Independent, a British newspaper, surveyed some homeless New Yorkers and located that while most of these homeless citizens utilized the kiosks for reputable explanations (ordinarily not to browse NSFW content), many of the interviewees were terrified that LinkNYC may eventually demand cash to use the world-wide-web by means of the Links, or that the kiosks may well be demolished completely. When Shaffer reunited with the band, they found a supervisor and launched an EP entitled Love and Peace Dude in 1989 as a result of Triple X Records.
