This grant supported her research and a broader assessment of pigment mobile advancement and differentiation in human and mouse melanomas. She was awarded the National Institute of Health Fellowship for $68,000, where by she invested 7 months in Naples, Italy continuing cell development investigation at the International Laboratory of Genetics and Biophysics. Cobb's insistence on giving methods and programs to enhance minority illustration at her schools of work define her legacy outdoors of the laboratory.
