Is There a Trick to Winning the Lottery?
You have no control over the outcome of a random event. Is There A Trick To Winning The Lottery? Lotterycodex So what exists is a mathematical strategy from which you base your number selection process to get the best shot possible.
In other words, you play the lottery the right way instead of tricking the system. The key is to understand the finite structure of the lottery and calculate the possibilities to help you make the right choice.
Ultimately, your objective as a lotto player is to choose a type of combination that will give you the best ratio of success to failure.
Let me shed light on that.
Table of Contents.
A Lotto Strategy According to Math.
The mathematical strategy involves some basic approaches as well as an advanced method of picking numbers.
For the basic strategy, your winning chances improve by selecting a lottery game with minimal odds. As an example, the odds of winning in a 5/35 game are only 1 in 300 thousand, while the odds in a 5/70 game are a monumental 1 in 12 million chances. Mathematically, the former proves to be much easier.
On the other hand, the advanced method involves understanding combinatorics and probability theory. Let me give you the gist of how math works in the lottery.
First of all, a number and a combination are two different terms. A number refers to the individual ball in the lottery. A combination is a composition of more than one number. In the lottery, a combination is usually composed of 5 or 6 numbers.
In probability theory, all the balls in the lottery are equally likely. This makes the concept of hot and cold numbers ineffective as a strategy. The same principle explains why lucky numbers don’t exist in the lottery.
Now, if hot or cold numbers don’t provide the key to winning the lottery, what will?
It’s the combination that matters.
Traditional belief has it that combinations have the same probability.
True, all combinations have the same probability because there’s only one way to win the jackpot.
P(win the jackpot) = 1 way it can happen / total number of distinct combinations.
However, this equal probability of each individual combination does not explain why a combination 1-2-3-4-5-6 has yet to occur in the world of lottery games.
That’s why we need to investigate a little bit.
Notice that combinations differ in composition. Combinations are divided into combinatorial groups depending on their composition. And the lottery is composed of many combinatorial groups that don’t share the same ratio of success to failure.
Please read the article Odds, Probability, and the Lottery to understand why knowing the ratio of success to failures is such an important task in a lottery game.
The finite structure of the lottery produces systematic combinatorial patterns. And each pattern exhibits a unique character or property that will serve as a clue for making the right decision.
For example, 2-10-22-28-36-42 is a combination of all even numbers. While 4-17-23-36-38-45 is a type of combination which consists of a balanced mixture of 3-odd-3-even numbers.
In the study of combinatorics and probability, these groups have a different number of favorable combinations, which we can use to measure corresponding odds and probability.
The probability calculation can be very helpful. But aside from the probability, another key term we need to know is the concept of odds. The odds refer to the ratio of success to failures.
Of course, odds and probability are two different terms and I have a separate article for that if you want to know the difference.
But in this article, let me demonstrate to you how the ratio of success to failure helps you make the right choice when picking numbers in the lottery.
In a 6/45 game, a group with six even numbers has 74,613 favorable combinations. Whereas, the 3-odd-and-3-even group has 2,727,340 favorable combinations.
Therefore, in a finite structure of a 6/45 lottery game with 8,145,060 possible combinations, the two combinatorial patterns will have the following probability calculations:
P (6-even combination) = 74,613 / 8,145,060 = 0.00916052183.
P (3-odd-and-3-even combination) = 2,727,340 / 8,145,060 = 0.33484590659.
This probability measurement only means that a 6-even combination may occur only once in 100 draws. While a balanced mixture of 3-odd-and-3-even combination may occur 33 times in 100 draws.
Using this probability measurement, we can predict how many times these groups will occur in 100 draws.
Estimated frequency (6-even combination) = 100 x 0.00916052183 = 0.9 or only once.
Estimated frequency (3-odd-and-3-even combination) = 100 x 0.33484590659 = 33.5 or 33 times.
This is how the two types of combinations differ in terms of odds:
6-even combination 3-odd-and-3-even combination (1:109) = This means you get 1 opportunity to match the winning numbers out of 109 attempts that you play the lottery (33:100) = This means you get 33 opportunities to match the winning numbers out of 100 attempts that you play the lottery 74,613 ways to win 2,727,340 ways to win 8,070,447 ways to fail 5,417,720 ways to fail The worst ratio of success to failure The best ratio of success to failure.
Remember Your goal is to win the lottery, and binary options the first thing you should know before you could look here play is to know the ratio of success to failure and choose the best one. You cannot change the underlying probability and you cannot beat the lottery’s odds, but as a lotto player, you have the power to know and make the right choice. Even choosing not to play is a strategy by itself.
Now, let me show how this odd-even combination design works in the lottery as a whole:
The probability calculation above clearly suggests that a balanced combination offers the most favorable chance. Here, we’re talking about putting your bet on 3-odd-3-even combinations for the majority of the times you play.
In terms of odds, the group of 3-odd-3-even combinations has the best ratio of success to failures.
In the lottery, a true mathematical strategy is all about knowing all the possible options and then making the right choice. In this case, you choose the group that gives you the best ratio of success to failure.
You cannot change the underlying probability and you cannot beat the odds. But you can calculate all the possible choices and make the right choice.
But that’s not the whole thing, below you will find a lot of exciting things about the lottery and how it works from combinatorics and probability perspectives.
The Actual Lottery Draws Obey the Dictate of Probability.
In the actual 827 draws of the Australian TattsLotto from January 7, 2006, to November 13, Binary Options 2021, my study shows an astounding agreement between theoretical estimation and the actual lottery results. And this study demonstrates the predictability of the lottery (to an extent) using the power of probability theory.
For example, a 6-even combination is predicted to occur about 8 times in 827 draws. A 3-odd-3-even combination is estimated to occur approximately 277 times.
We do the calculation by multiplying the probability by the number of draws, as shown below:
Estimated frequency (6-even combination) = 0.009160522 x 827 draws = 7.575751694.
Estimated frequency (3-odd-and-3-even combination) = 0.33484590659860100 x 827 draws = 276.917564757.
Putting these estimated frequencies side by side with the actual lottery draws, you will find that the observed frequencies don’t deviate much from probability prediction.
If we do the same calculation with the rest of the patterns, we will come up with a completed table above.
Through the power of probability, we can predict the lottery to an extent regardless of the point of reference. And we don’t need to consult the past lottery results or statistical analysis to discover trends (more on this later).
The math works, and numbers don’t lie. You don’t need a tricky strategy to win the lottery.
The probability analysis you have seen so far is simply a taste of what probability can do. The reality is that you can perform the same combinatorics and probability analysis in any lottery system that you like to play.
High-Accuracy and High-Precision Lotto Prediction Using Probability Analysis.
Okay, you cannot predict the next winning numbers, but you can predict the general outcome of the lottery to an extent.
This high-accuracy and high-precision prediction method using probability analysis are evident when we try to look at the results from the perspective of the law of large numbers.
What is the law of large numbers?
Wikipedia defines it:
In probability theory, the law of large numbers (LLN) is a theorem that describes the result of performing the same experiment a large number of times. According to the law, the average of the results obtained from a large number of trials should be close to the expected value, and will tend to become closer as more trials are performed.
In my study, you can see this law of large numbers relates to combinatorial patterns.
I have analyzed the most popular lottery systems in the world, and my results show undeniable agreement between actual lotto results and probability prediction. This agreement reinforces as lottery draws continue to get larger and larger.
The tables below prove that combinatorial and probability analysis can describe the general outcome of the lottery with high accuracy and high precision prediction.
The Need to Swim Against the Tide.
A lot of folks think that all numbers and combinations are equally likely.
Thus many lotto players and gurus believe that the 1-2-3-4-5-6 has the same probability as any other.
That is true because mathematically, there’s only one way to win the jackpot prize against all the possible ways you lose. So no matter what combinations you play, your odds and probability are the same.
But it’s your choice that matters.
Remember Choosing a 3-odd-3-even combination instead of 6-even (e.g., 2-4-6-8-10-12) WILL NOT increase your chances of winning because all combinations have the same probability. The reason you shouldn’t choose 2-4-6-8-10-12 is that the 0-odd-6-even pattern has fewer ways to win and have more ways to fail. You should choose 3-odd-3-even because it gives you the best ratio of success to failure.
Always remember, you cannot change the underlying probability and you cannot beat the odds of a lottery system.
But, you have the power to choose.
I encourage you to look at the lottery from a different perspective. The key is to do the method of “thinking gray.” Meaning, don’t look at the lottery in binary mode. Most of us think in binary modes, such as looking at things in black and white, true or false, friends and foe, right or wrong, so on and so forth.
By thinking gray, I encourage you to look at all the arguments. Please read my article How to Win the Lottery According to Math.
As I have pointed out earlier, a combination and a number are two different terms, and they are not the same thing.
Combinatorial groups don’t have the same ratio of success to failure. As a lotto player, your objective is to make an intelligent choice based on all the possible options in the game.
Renato Gianella, a Brazilian mathematician, proved that combinations can be categorized into probability groups. This grouping study is similar to the three dice roll when we calculate the probability of their sums. And like Gianella, I want to show a plethora of mathematical evidence to prove the same thing.
I created Lotterycodex to improve the idea of Gianella. I have invented a unique combinatorial design that handles both low-high and odd-even numbers in one probability analysis. And I don’t hide the formula for my system. I explained the nifty method in my article The Winning Lottery Formula Based on Combinatorics and Probability Theory.
As I have proven many times on this page and in my blog posts, variance exists even though numbers are equally likely.
As a lotto player, your strategy must focus on the group you are playing rather than on the performance of individual numbers or individual combinations. Hot and cold numbers don’t work in the lottery. And the same principle should lead you to ditch other superstitions such as lucky and unlucky numbers, numbers from your dreams, and a lot more.
Up until now, mathematics remains the only tool that provides you with the necessary knowledge to get the best shot possible at winning the lottery.
As you see, the key is not to trick the lottery system. The key is gaining the knowledge and applying that knowledge to get you closer to the winning combination. It’s the knowledge that will put you in a better advantage over other lotto players.
Inaccuracies in Statistical Analysis.
Talking about mathematical analysis, you don’t need statistics to analyze a lottery game.
A lot of people mistakenly think that the historical results of the lottery may provide a trick to winning the lottery, but nothing could be further from the truth.
There’s a big difference between statistics and probability. When information is unknown, we resort to statistics to solve questions or problems from a sample space.
For example, Binary Options if you don’t know the number of black socks in a drawer, you would try to calculate the number by drawing socks randomly 100 times.
However, the finite structure of the lottery provides the complete data to analyze how the lottery works as a whole, and you don’t need sample data from the past 100 draw results to extract trending patterns.
As I have demonstrated above, the study of combinatorics provides us with adequate information by which we put numbers together. For example, in a lotto 5/39 game, we know that there are 19 even numbers and 20 odd numbers. We can easily calculate how the two groups behave in 100 random draws without resorting to sampling.
With the use of probability, we can obtain prior knowledge of how particular combinatorial patterns will perform in the lottery over a given number of draws. I created a lottery calculator that will do just that.
In the lottery, every event should be treated as an applied combinatorial and probability problem to solve rather than a statistical one.
The results are high-accuracy and high-precision prediction, which is not achievable by statistical analysis.
The law of large numbers reinforces the fact that the lottery obeys what the probability dictates as draws continue to get larger. And you can quickly determine the outcome of the lottery, no matter what your point of reference.
So the next time you think about the lottery strategy, don’t use statistics.
There’s More to the Lottery Than Meets the Eye.
Going back to combinatorial patterns, the odd-even analysis of the lottery is just a small part of a bigger picture. We hardly scratched the surface.
Think about things such as low and high numbers, number groups, consecutive numbers, multiples, and how all these things relate to the study of combinatorics, probability, and the law of large numbers. You will realize that calculation can be quite complex. What I have been discussing here is simply the tip of the iceberg.
That’s why I started the Lotterycodex website to offer a free guide on this math lottery subject so all lotto players can be guided accordingly. And to make everything much easier, you can use a Lotterycodex calculator to analyze your lottery game without knowing the nitty-gritty aspect of the math.
Please don’t believe that there’s a trick to winning. No one can trick the lottery as the drawing of balls are genuinely random. No one has the power to change the outcome of a random event. Is There A Trick To Winning The Lottery? Lotterycodex
But just because lotto players cannot trick a lottery game doesn’t mean it’s helpless.
