Alevtina Anatolyevna Chernikova (born May 22, 1966) – Russian economist, Doctor of Economics, Rector of NUST MISIS since 2013. Honored Worker of the Higher School of the Russian Federation (2020).

Biography

Born on May 22, 1966 in the village of Shatalovka, Starooskolsky District, Belgorod Region. In 1988 she graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Voronezh State University, specializing in industrial planning.

1997 – awarded the qualification of a professional accountant – chief accountant, expert accountant, consultant of the Institute of Professional Accountants of Russia under the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

1997—2012 – Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Professor of the Department of Economics and Management, STI MISIS.

In 2002 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of economic sciences „Ensuring sustainable development of dairy industry enterprises (by the example of the Voronezh and Belgorod regions)".

2004-2007 – Deputy Director of STI MISIS for financial and economic activities.

2005 – awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Management by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

In 2008-2012 – Director of the Starooskolsk Technological Institute (branch) of the MISiS State Technical University.

In 2008 she defended her thesis for the degree of Doctor of Economics „Methodology of strategic development of regional territorial-industrial complexes and mechanisms for enhancing investment support."

2010 – awarded the academic title of professor.

2012 – First Vice-Rector of the National Research Technological University „MISiS" (from May 17); and. O. the rector of the university (from May 22).

Since May 21, 2013 – Rector of NUST MISIS.

2015 – Deputy of the Belgorod Regional Duma. The vacant mandate of the deputy was transferred to Chernikova after the transfer of deputy Ivan Kalabukhov to senators as the next candidate registered from the same list.

Author of over 120 publications, including over 90 scientific papers and 30 teaching aids.

In November 2013, the Dissernet community reported that the text of Chernikova’s dissertation contains a significant (over 52%) percentage of incorrect borrowings.
