Creditors and an ex-business partner are set to chase debts owed by Geoffrey Edelsten by challenging his will in the wake of his death last week. The death of Edelsten, who'd been declared bankrupt in Australia and the US, revealed a messy financial and personal situation, with multiple parties expected to make a claim on his estate. One of those people is his former US business partner Rafael 'Alfie' Mawardi, who Edelsten met at Mawardi's House of Nurielle fashion boutique in Las Vegas when his then wife Brynne bought an $8500 lace jumpsuit in the store. She later wore it to an Australian Grand Prix Ball at Crown. 'We went into the shop at the same time as Heidi Klum, who was filming Germany's top model,' Edelsten recalled in 2014. 'Brynne got in first and Heidi got very upset because she wanted that same thing, but we bought it.'

On Wednesday, Gabi remembered Geoffrey by sharing a bizarre gallery of Christmas-themed photos. The images showed the colourful businessman - who was Jewish - wearing a Santa costume with a menorah hanging around his neck. Meanwhile, Gabi opted for a racy red and white mini-dress with a deep V-neckline and corseted waist. The former couple posed on a plush red carpet and posed in front of a mini model of the Eiffel Tower, which had been decorated with Christmas baubles. 'RIP,' Gabi simply captioned the post.

Throwing out theories: Gabi - who admitted on Instagram that she hadn't been in contact with Geoffrey (pictured at a memorial in Melbourne in May 2014) for a year-and-a-half prior to his death - said he had multiple issues he was dealing with
Meanwhile, in a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Gabi claimed that she never divorced the multimillionaire businessman when they split in 2015. 'For people who have asked. No me and Geoffrey were still married when he passed away, no divorce, widowed,' she wrote. In a since-deleted post on Instagram on Monday, Gabi also claimed she was in with a shot at a slice of his fortune. She shared a bizarre post from an Instagram follower, who claimed Geoffrey had told her three years ago that he would leave Gabi 'something' in his will.
'I feel almost bad, I think if he was in better spirits he would have lived, but he had so much debt, and his mum passed away, and I had left, I think he just gave up,' she claimed. Pictured together at the Melbourne Cup in November 2014
Gabi and Geoffrey dated on and off for five years, before marrying in Melbourne back in 2015. He was 72 and she was only 26 when they tied the knot in an elaborate wedding ceremony. But their marriage proved to be short-lived, with the former couple splitting just a few months later.
