Apple is considering releasing an iPad the size of a car wheel - measuring up to a whopping 16 inches across, according to a new report. The tech giant has 'engineers and designers exploring larger iPads', says Mark Gurman, a trusted Apple tipster and journalist for Bloomberg. A screen up to 16 inches big could be available in 'a couple of years', Gurman says in a recently-published newsletter, but not likely in 2022. For reference, screen sizes on the new fifth-generation iPad Pro models - unveiled in April this year - measure 11-inch and 12.9-inch. Gurman claims upcoming iPad models will 'continue to blur the lines between tablet and laptop'.
Apple announced its fifth-gen iPad Pro (pictured) during its ‘Spring Loaded' event in April. The iPad is available with either an 11-inch or 12.9-inch screen - but Apple is considering supersizing this to 'blur the lines between tablet and laptop'
Gurman urged Apple to develop an iPad with a 'giant screen, one in the 14-inch to 16-inch range'. The 12.9-inch display, as currently offered by the larger fifth-gen iPad Pro models, zagonka is 'far too small' for someone accustomed to laptop, he said. Mark Gurman has made a name for himself with accurate Apple leaks for 9to5Mac and is now a journalist for Bloomberg. Apple Track, a blog that keeps tabs on Apple rumours 'and the sources that publish them', gives Gurman an 89.1 per cent accuracy rating.

Apple has unveiled a heap of new hardware and software products recently.
Earlier this month, at the firm's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2021), it lifted the lid on iOS 15, its upcoming software update. The new operating system is packed with FaceTime improvements including 3D audio, portrait mode that blurs backgrounds and a grid view for video conferences that competes with Zoom. Apple's upcoming iOS 15 also includes an iMessage redesign that transforms message photos into galleries and includes a focus mode that hides apps that typically distract users. The firm has not yet announced when iOS 15 will be available for its devices, but it is expected this autumn in time for its upcoming iPhone, likely called iPhone 13. Prior to this,Apple revealed several new products at its Spring Loaded event on April 20, including its fifth-gen iPad Pro models. The new range also included a purple iPhone 12, a tracking device called AirTag and a line of computersinspired by its 1998 Mac line.
