Joy Dorris and Chris Marsh were invited to become the "faces" of the Montreal disco duo Lime, performing them live. This was done with the support and full knowledge of the Lime record company and management.
After months of rehearsing, the duo went on tour to bring Lime live to fans around the world. At that time, not many disco artists had record companies supporting them to rehearse and then travel with full groups, so the duo came out with pre-recorded music (phonogram). However, Joy Dorris and Chris Marsh sang live vocals, which was natural because they both had similar vocal ranges and styles.
