Berestovitsa village council (Belarusian. Berastavitski selsavet) is an administrative unit on the territory of the Berestovitsky district of the Grodno region of Belarus. The administrative center is the urban settlement of Bolshaya Berestovitsa (not included in the structure).

Story

It was created on October 12, 1940 as the Bolshe-Berestovitsky village council as part of the Krynkovsky district of the Bialystok region of the BSSR. Center – village (since September 20, 1944 urban settlement) Bolshaya Berestovitsa. From September 20, 1944 in the Berestovitsky district of the Grodno region. On July 16, 1954, it was abolished, the territory became part of the Iodichsky village council.

On January 19, 1996, from a part of the Berestovitsa Council, the Berestovitsa Village Council was created with the center in the urban village of Bolshaya Berestovitsa. On October 18, 2013, the territory of the abolished Parkhimovsky village council became a part of the village council: Bergeli, Ravens, Danilki, Dolbenki, Zhabry, Zhukevichi, Zaykovshchina, Kaleniki, Karpovtsy, Kovaliki, Konchany, Leonovichi, Lisnevichi, Lyudvinovo, Parkhimovtsy, Petrovtsy, Sintrovtsy , Old Palace and Eiminovtsy, as well as excluded settlements Golynka, Iodichi, Klyukovtsi, Kuli, Neporozhnevtsy and Poplavtsy, which became part of the Maloberestovitsy village council.

Population

According to the 2009 census, 751 people lived on the territory of the village council, among whom 79.9% were Belarusians.

Industry and agriculture

Agricultural production cooperative „Parkhimovtsy", specializes in meat and dairy products, growing grain, sugar beets, potatoes.

Branch of the Grodno Republican Unitary Enterprise of the Electric Power Industry „Grodnoenergo" – agrofirm „Old Palace".

Farms: V. V. Dunich – 50.9514 hectares, O. V. Ivanova – 49.1 hectares, I. L. Lenkova – 3.0 hectares, A. A. Bogdanovich – 26.5405 hectares.


Social sphere

On the territory of the village council there is 1 club, 3 libraries, 1 village club-library, 3 feldsher-obstetric points, 2 shops. „Parkhimovskaya comprehensive basic school" for 192 places, „Parkhimovskiy day nursery-garden" for 40 places, „Educational-pedagogical complex Starodvoretsky kindergarten – basic school" for 108 places. There are two complex reception centers: in the agricultural town of Parkhimovtsi, in the agricultural town of Staryi Palace. Starodvoretsky Central House of Culture, Parkhimovsky House of Culture and Leisure are in operation.

Memorable places


The monument erected on the site of a military burial in the village of Kashentsy was erected in honor of the heroic deed of a group of soldiers of the Red Army who died in an unequal battle with the fascist invaders on June 29, 1941 and in memory of fellow countrymen, residents of the villages of Kashentsy and Lepesy, who did not return from the fronts of the Great Patriotic War to 1941-1945 years.

The monument in the village of Berestovichany was erected in honor of 26 fellow countrymen who died during the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945.

A monument to fellow countrymen in the village of Shelepki was erected in honor of 14 fellow countrymen who died during the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945.

In the settlements of Parkhimovtsy, Karpovtsy, Eiminovtsy, the Old Palace, monuments have been erected in honor of the soldiers and fellow villagers who died in the Great Patriotic War.
