An Afghanistan veteran and his family have been made homeless and now face spending Christmas in a Travelodge after a water tank in their military home 'exploded', causing catastrophic damage.
Corporal Glen Price and his wife Anna were left heartbroken when they returned from their dream holiday to the Dominican Republic on Thursday to find their home in tatters - and all their two children's presents ruined by flood water.
Pipes from the boiler in the attic of home in Farnborough, Hampshire, had ruptured and sent hundreds of gallons of water cascading into bedrooms - causing ceilings to collapse, wrecking electronics, flooring and walls.
The couple and kombi Servisi their two children, Amelia-Rose, three, and Leonardo, two, are the latest military family to have their home destroyed by shoddy water fittings, which leaked after last week's Arctic blast.

The family had spent hundreds of pounds in the run up to Christmas on gifts and food, and bought the children presents, which included Paw Patrol toys, stuffed dinosaurs and a wooden play kitchen.
Mrs Price added: 'We bought them a wooden play kitchen. They have been asking for it for ages and we were saving for ages to get it.

With bills going up it was difficult.
'They now have nothing left. All their presents have been ruined.'
News of the family's plight soon swept through the military community, with neighbours rallying to offer food, kombi Servisi clothing and some toys for the Prices.

In a tweet on Thursday evening, Lt Col Greener appealed for people to support the community drive, which raised more than Ј1,500 in a day.
Lobbying the likes of Defence Secretary Ben Wallace and former defence minister Leo Docherty, MP for Aldershot, in a tweet from 22 Field Hospital's social media account, Lt Col said: 'Please share far and wide and let's dig deep for one of our soldiers and their family.'
Responding, Iraq and Afghanistan veteran Mr Docherty said: 'Thanks. Do please put them in touch with me - I'll help however I can.'
