Pose star Angelica Ross is set to make her Broadway debut in Chicago this fall, becoming the first openly transgender actor to play the murderous vixen Roxie Hart in the long-running musical.
Ross, 41, whose credits also include American Horror Story: 1984, will start an eight-week run beginning September 12 at the Ambassador Theatre.

Bob Fosse not only directed and choreographed the original production, but also co-wrote the dialogue along with the show's lyricist Fred Ebb.
The current production is a revival that first opened in the 1996 and has become one of the longest-running shows in the history of the Great White Way.
Ann Reinking, who was once romantically involved with Fosse, directed and choreographed the current revival 'in the style of Bob Fosse' and played Roxie opposite Bebe Neuwirth when it first opened.
Meanwhile Fosse's wife Gwen Verdon played Roxie in the original Broadway production, which opened in 1975 to tepid success.
