_Escape from Death" (English Stranger at My Door) is an American television film directed by Vincent McEvety, a thriller starring Robert Urich, Mark Post and James Gammon.

Plot

Joy Fortier is a former police fugitive. He is also forced, together with his two children – Robert and Cindy, to hide from the leader of the bandits, a relative of his wife. He escaped with his children and starts a new life on the same deserted farm. One day they find a woman who is injured. Her name is Sharon and it turns out she was running from a hitman hired by her husband. Joy hides her until the bandits find his farm. During the shootout, Joy is injured, but he manages to kill the leader of the bandits. Sharon takes him to the hospital. Sharon’s husband continues to search for her. But in the end, Sharon’s husband was killed. Joy and Sharon leave for Wichita for Kansas, hoping to start a new life.
