With tokenization the first account number (PAN) is protected below an algorithmic encryption system that emits a singular numeric code formed by similar digits (the token) that replaces the PAN in the course of the transaction. If a buyer makes a purchase via a tokenized cost service, the knowledge that is sent to the fee card community is a token instead of the account knowledge of the account holder. That is a really secure way that, in the information flows generated in a transaction, no info from the owner is duplicated. Tokenization is subsequently supposed to ensure the privacy of the client, which is barely exposed to the service supplier and the bank, and not to the seller.
