The former were the 120-bhp Hi-Thrift of 194 cubic inches and a special version of the 230-cube six with a relatively aggressive camshaft that boosted horsepower to 155, compared to 140 when used in the full-size Chevrolet. Dune quickly became a success, winning awards such as the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 1966.
