I'm going to need many more listens to really sink into it, but this album is beautiful, disarming, and so intricately constructed, in my mind a new benchmark for what independent artists are capable of putting together. feels kinda like settling to the floor of a distant frozen lake, lying still, and watching lights in the night sky shift slowly as they're diffused through the ice, all in the colors of past sunsets you had almost forgotten.
