This year, the Alpina B3 is aimed at customers in its new generation as a sedan and station wagon. The novelty is based on the BMW 3 Series G20 / G21 and offers above-average performance and exclusivity.

Although Alpina is perceived as a modification of BMW cars , in reality it has the status of a real manufacturer. The models of this brand are created in close cooperation with the BMW carmaker, which supplies unfinished cars to Buchloe, which are being completed here. Thanks to this, Buchloe models rather suitably complement the bmw alpina for sale brand offer and do not create direct competition.

The proof may be the B3 model , which at first glance may give the impression of a competitor for M3 , but the reality is somewhat different. The representative of the Alpina brand strives for an ideal combination of performance, luxury and comfort, while the M3 is much more strongly focused on performance and sporty driving, which is also confirmed by the absence of the Touring version in its offer.

In its new generation, the Alpina B3 follows in the footsteps of its ancestors when it comes to design. The traditional modifications to the lines of BMW's original cars are limited to a discreet emphasis on the dynamically acting front and rear sections and sides with the help of redesigned bumpers and sills. The design of 19-inch wheels is a matter of course and at the same time a hallmark of Alpina cars.

The basis for the B3 Sedan and B3 Touring models are the corresponding BMW M340i xDrive versions . Thanks to this, the power unit is a petrol in-line six-cylinder with a pair of turbochargers. Thanks to Alpina tuners, the 2993 cubic centimeter engine boasts a top output of 340 kW (462 hp) available from 5,500 to 7,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 2,500 to 4,500 rpm.

The six-cylinder works with the eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, complete with Alpina software and all-wheel drive. The sedan is to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 303 km / h. The Touring can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds and its top speed is 300 km / h. For both versions, Alpina states the fuel consumption of 9.8 l of petrol per 100 km in combined operation according to the WLTP cycle.

The performance of the power unit also corresponds to the setting of the chassis and steering, which should be focused on a sporty driving style and achieving the best possible handling of the car. Adaptive shock absorbers and an electronically controlled differential are standard. The interior and body design do not lag behind the interior either, which, compared to the BMW 3 Series, offers a significantly larger portion of luxury thanks to top materials and workshop workmanship.

Alpina B3 Sedan and B3 Touring are heading to the European market with basic prices from 81,250 Euros (around 2,055,000 CZK), respectively. 83,050 EUR (approximately 2,100,000 CZK). The first cars are to reach customers during the summer months of this year.
